SRF Kobe Smash Burgers

Just made some half pound SRF Kobe burgers which have quickly become my favorite burgers so I decided to try them as Smash Burgers. The results were delicious. I have more in the freezer and will do again very soon.

very nice @Slabotnick  !!  soooo I have some SRF kobe burgers in my freezer now, but they are solid frozen discs.  Did you let these thaw out, then reform into that large ball, before smashing??

I recommend boar's head chedder next time.  It is a big step up from kraft.  (Which is almost criminal on those beauties)

I did let the frozen patties thaw then I formed them into a ball.

I agree that the American looks rather JV and I do have boars head in the fridge but only in pepper jack and Gouda. Figured with our first smash burger try we would go classic American.

@ndg you may not ever eat a burger another way. The SRF Kobe burgers are the perfect size for me and are delicious. One of my families favorite meals. We have a couple boxes in the freezer. Well worth the price to me.

Commie.  A real burger gets American.

@Slabotnick  . . good to know because the SRF Burger box says to cook from frozen and not thaw.  Seemed stupid, but again, this is not a normal burger (fat content off the charts) so I obey.  I will try to thaw/smash next time!

Looks great bro.  Curious about that salad.  Are those brussel sprouts and tomatoes?

The salad is fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes, artichokes, olive oil, and balsamic. It was great.
