This is why you buy an Egg with a warranty

I noticed last week that the firebox in my Mini was broken.  I've learned from other members of this forum that generally all you need to do take a picture of what needs replaced and take it to your dealer.  My local dealer asked for a picture and some information and then gave me a new firebox.  That was SWEET!

I recently got around to getting all my cracked pieces replaced. I was rebuilding and balancing all the pieces in my small and XL by the time I finally did it. Now they are like brand new!

My Mini is 2 years old and it's the newest of all my Eggs and the first warranty replacement on any of them.  Go figure.

Age doesn't aways mean it can fail. Here's a brand new replacement for my large that failed during the second use and on a low and slow cook at that!

Wish I got that kind of service from my dealer. I got a warranty fire ring. Never opened it, slid it under a shelf. Couple months later I opened it to find it busted. Sent stealer a picture, said it was "handled". Was passing by them so I stopped. Said it would be there Thursday. 5 minutes later I get an email saying it won't be. Push comes to shove, they "forgot" to order it. Now I wait another month or so for their next shipment. That is unless my buddy in Canada comes thru...his brother is a Weber distributor and is good friends with several Egg dealers....they are working on getting me one. When I asked about shipping my buddy said he would cover it....
    Apologies for rambling...bad bipolar morning...
