Been grinding beef a long time.Started with manual grinder you attach to table, then progressed to electric grinder .Last couple years have been buying large underblade chuck roasts at BJ's . I cut it down to pot roast size and  make 1 lb. vacuum packed cut up chunk packages which I will take out and grind in Ninja food processor as I need it .I season meat and add onion ,cheese etc before grinding .Comes out good, real good and it is EASY .Ninja is also easier to clean than my grinder .

I say it depends on where you buy your ground beef. If you usually shop at a large grocery store it usually comes pre ground in 10 lb tubes that is then run thru a grinder again. I would suggest skipping this as your meat dept employees can't really tell you what cuts are in it. If you shop at a small local butcher shop you probably are getting really good hamburger, especially if they sell a lot of steaks. The majority will be made with the end cuts and trimmings of loins and ribs and maybe a little sirloin and chuck roll. I cut my teeth as a meat cutter at a large grocery store chain and moved on to small specialty butcher shops to refine my craft. At each local butcher shop the ground beef has been top quality.
