I just stumbled into a display of Blackstone 17" tabletop griddles at Sam's Club for $57.98.
Went in in for diapers and walked out with a griddle and diapers. I couldn't resist.

Nice. You will love it.

Good work!
Sanding, seasoning, and breaking in a second one for a friend from Ace at $80, thought that was a steal.

Smooths out the surface before seasoning. Not necessary, but does improve.JPakaPope said:

Do you mind sharing the Sams Club item number so it easier for members to late these?

686150 looks like the item number on the receipt.

@focker what grit did you use to sand the surface?
-
Thank youHairless_Hand said:686150 looks like the item number on the receipt. -
150, then 800 grit emery cloth. Wet or dry sandpaper would work as well. The numbers are a little different. Any medium grit, then fine to finish. Coarse is too much.Hairless_Hand said:@focker what grit did you use to sand the surface?BrandonQuad Cities

Thanks for the info @Focker I am pumped up about this purchase. Planning to season the griddle tonight and bacon cheese burgers will be cooked tomorrow night. I might wait until later to sand and re-season.

That will work, did that with the carbon steel skillet. You will love this thing. It can crank out a lot of food for the footprint. Burns up the Coleman tanks pretty quick, they can be had 2 for 5 bucks at Wally World. Not a bad trade off for the portability.
Called my local Sam's, brother is interested in the 17 incher. No dice. You got a great deal.BrandonQuad Cities

Where in the US did you get this? I searched the item number on Sams site and find nothing.

I went to my local Sams Club to pick one up and of course they don't carry it. Ugh!"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Looks solid. Seasoning another today, and slicing bacon. May use the scraps for first cook on cheeseburgers, we'll see. This thing has me actually looking forward to bangin' out breakfasts at the campground. ORDER UP! DING!
