Is this normal?

Noticed these small cracks? all over the dome of my egg.  I am assuming that others are like this but wanted to make sure this isn't an issue that I need to be concerned about

I've had two Eggs for several years, and mine don't have those cracks.  I don't have any idea whether that's a functional problem or not, but it seems worth asking about to me.  I don't know whether the person you bought it from or BGE corporate would be best.  Maybe someone else on this forum would have a better idea.

Crazing happens if your egg is used to any extent.  Until the surface starts flaking (popping) off, no worries.

    It's called 'crazing'

inflexible glaze cracks when the ceramic heats and expands and contracts when cool. Totally normal

the egg is coated in what is essentially glass (not paint). No flex. So it will craze eventually, and basically once, and then not any more
