Hi there, had a bolt pop from one of the rings. Do you think I need to replace the ring?
Any suggestions?

Which bolt popped?

Ron, might need to do the gasket too...

Looks like a replacement bolt would fix it. It looks like it had been loose.

Here is a close up of the bolt.
Do you think the threading inside got stripped.
If it is just a replacement, do you suggest the local dealer or calm Atlanta... do the dealers typically have extra parts? I am in the Charlotte area. -
Go to your dealer as they may have a couple you can have at n/c. Secure the hinge with the white plastic pieces it came with and wire ties, remove hinge and bands to replace it. Bands shouldn't need replaced unless you discover damage.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Check out a replacement bolt. If the hole looks a little stripped out (ie the inner bolt head isn't standing as proud as the others) you can use a center punch around the edge of the hole to reduce the hole diameter slightly.

That happened to me not long after I got my large. I got some stainless bolts from Lowes and replaced mine

I've got a bag of these around somewhere. PM me with your address, I'll send out a couple. Might take me a day or two to locate them though.

Im sure your ring is fine. We have had this happened on two different eggs in the past. What happened was the guy who put the eggs together used an impact to tighten the bolts down, and it actually deformed the stud and started to pull it through the band. I would call your local dealer and see if they have some sitting around. I would also replace all 8 hinge bolts as the others might not be too far from pulling through as well.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and guidance.
First and foremost... I goofed up and 'disagreed' with some of the responses (thanks #Jeepster for letting me know). It was not intentional, must have been me fat-fingering on the phone as I was posting and reading while down on the patio.
Second - I did connect with my dealer at Oasis Pool (south of Charlotte near the Carolina Mall). I brought in the hinge too... it was really hard to move on one side. They set me up with a new hinge and hand-full of bolts & nuts. Thanks!
I'm also taking the opportunity to do some other updates - replace my gasket - getting a Rutland from Ron, and replaced my stone with a table nest to get that air circulation under the egg.
Again - thanks everyone for the help. -
Well shucks ... I guess sending the villagers to your door with pitchforks and flaming torches was overkill for a mistake ... yes? Go back and hit the icons a second time to erase any inadvertent flags ... even the like and agree flags.
Love it when someone's dealer takes good care of them. You go in for one bolt (clinch stud) and come out with a bag of parts. Sounds like you've got a good one.
Good call on replacing the stone with a table nest. Ask @theyolksonyou to describe what his wooden table looked like under a paver block.
