    Looks great Ron.  Good idea too.  

    I decided to take my cast iron griddle to Eggtoberfest in Atlanta one year (long before they started weighing luggage). It occurred to me that I would have to bring it back and they didn't have good facilities for cleaning it after being used all day.  I had made a cardboard box for the griddle that I planned to use again, so I took some plastic grocery bags with me to place the dirty griddle into first for the return trip.  The box remained clean for the next time but everything in the suitcase, along with the suitcase itself, smelled like dirty griddle.  Just saying, don't store a dirty baking steel in yours.  It's too pretty to toss because it smells awful.   

    Oh, and this same idea would work for taking a plate setter to Eggfests.  

    Great idea...

    Thanks Leroy - I figured storing a dirty steel would not be wise and then even if something got in there to create a stink that is why the front is removable with those screws. The 1/2" rails inside are glued and screwed from the back side though. 
    As for transporting my PS to class and to eggfests I made this simple box. The bottom is plywood, but covered with aluminum flashing so clean up from a greasy PS is a snap. Besides it means I can transport a hot PS without fear of ruining the interior of my car.
