    What did you think?

im not a big Stamey's fan but then there just aren't a ton of great options in Greensboro. I prefer Country BBQ if you make it back this way or try Clark's in Kernersville.

Enjoyed them both. As an ex-Piedmont region resident it was nice to be back for the Q. I think it is almost a dead heat between them. Slaw is identical, hush puppies were better at Lexington, Stamey's meat was sweeter so that comes down to personal preference.

Slaw just is NOT supposed to be that color! =)

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

It looks good.  I haven't tried the red slaw, but it does seem like they just said "f*** it.  We will just use the same vinegar based BBQ sauce for the slaw too".

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

You should have just stopped at @tarheelmatt 's house. If he wasn't home, no problem, just make yourself at home.

Lexington bbq has best hush puppy's around...crisp / light/ and delicious...everyone has there idea's on the Q...I think you hit 2 real good places that define BBQ shacks....good food and quick and friendly service for the patrons.....you will find no lipstick on the pig at either of these places!!

Try the tenderloin and egg biscuit for breakfast at Country BBQ....have paddles ready to defib after that monster biscuit....make a puppy pull a freight train!
