Mini + Mini Woo2 + Mini Gasket question

Finally have a new Mini from a dealer > 1000 miles away.
Also now have a mini Woo2.

I put the Mini Grate on top of the Mini Woo2 and closed the lid.
It felt snug.
When I opened the lid, the grate started to pull off the top gasket (off the lid)

What am I doing wrong?

Check to see if your gasket is hanging over the inside edge of the lid. The gasket on my mini was way wider than the thickness of the ceramic and would hang up on the grid occasionally. My solution was to remove the stock gasket and put on a Rutland from RRP.

If your stock gaskets peels off clean from the start you ae ahead of the game.
Replace it with a better gasket now and only do the bottom/base of the Egg.
Mine pulled off my Mini when I was unboxing and un wrapping new out of the box. I was so happy.lol
    Thank you,

From the picture, I think you are right. But remove the upper gasket !?!
    That seems so... extreme!
