SRF..... Grrrrrrrrrr!

Still new at egging. Loving every time I fire it up. Saw the post on sale at SRF. I spent a few coins.... Now I'm nervous I will screw up the cook! Monster cowboy ribeyes, 4 T-Bones, 2 prime filets and the cut I had never heard of, ribeye cap. And I'm sitting here waiting for the brisket sale to post maybe tonight. I'm gonna need to take a second job!

I will be coming back for help before I risk these bad boys. No doubt reverse on the cowboys but have never done that........

Do you have a thermapen? Light the fire, have a drink, pull yore hat down tight, and let 'er buck...

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

You have got this.  No different than any other steak cook.  Steaks are steaks except for the cowboy chop.  When ready just post, you will likely get a few different approaches about how to wrestle that one-just pick one and go.  With an accurate meat thermo you will get it right.
About the ribeye cap-hopefully yours is a more uniform cut (thickness-wise) than the one I just did a few days ago (cherry popper cook with the SRF black grade cap).  Regardless, hot and fast with that cut worked for me.  Again the meat thermo is your best friend.  Great haul right there.
Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

You know what's cool? If you have questions and you need answers right away, you can call SRF. Tell them what you're cooking and what you're using, and they'll tell you how to handle it.

    GREAT service.

Report back in the cuts! I haven't gotten any of the double r ranch stuff but since those Cowboys chops are prime I have been tempted when we have people over for dinner.

You will perform much better if you don't create a bunch of stress for yourself. =)
