Paella Shellfish & Chicken

My wife and I tried our first Paella dish tonight for the UVA vs UNC basketball game. This was one of the easiest cooks we have done in a long time. Everything was done in one pan and from start to finish it maybe took 50 minutes to an hour. The flavors were fantastic, the presentation was beautiful, and the chicken thighs were cooked to perfection. We followed the recipe from the BGE site http://www.biggreenegg.com/features/grilled-paella-with-shellfish-chicken/ . This meal would be perfect for a dinner party and the prep and clean up was a breeze.

If you are a fan of shellfish and you are looking for a flavorful beautiful cook. Give this recipe a shot and you won't be disappointed.

Love paella on the BGE. For me its the 'mise en place" that you need to execute. After that, as you note just a sustained level of cooking effort. Great cook right there. Trust you nailed the soccarat...
Congrats!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

@lousubcap Thank you for the nod. It was awesome. We did not have the saffron the recipe called for, but it was still very good. We will not make the mistake on the next go round!
