6 Weeks Coming

After a long and painful 6 week wait, I have finally been approved to post in this great community! It has been a long wait from first trying to join in mid January to now and look forward to taking part of the discussions. I currently own a Vision M which has been a great little kamado (currently smoking a Brisket point to make some burnt ends) for my wife and I but with a little one on the way it is time to upgrade in size.
With that said, thanks in large part to a steal of a price, I am anxiously awaiting the end of April to when I can pick up my new XL. Already been listing all of the different cooks that I can't do with my M. Now the hard part is just waiting 2 months!
What I can't decide on, and hopefully you all can lead me in the right direction, is which set up to add. I have done a lot of research on the CGS AR Combo and the KJ D&C set up but I haven't seen any recent opinions on the two. They both seem to have different positives and negatives. I know if I was getting the Large BGE it would be an easy decision to go with the AR but I don't seem to like the AR for the XL as much as I do for the Large. Not that I will ever use it but I really like the 3 tier system in the AR but the D&C seems to have so much more potential as it continues to add more options.
Does anyone here have experience with one or the other?
Thanks, and can't wait to get started!

The D&C is the Kamado Joe Divide and Conquer. Sorry, should have been more specific.

Welcome aboard snd enjoy the journey. No help with your hardware question but hopefully someone will be along with insights.
And I have no idea why it would take so friggin long to get the green light to post.
You may want to inquire of BGE HQ and see what they say. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
I've got the Woo/AR combo for my XL. I've been really happy with it. I didn't really need the extra real estate with the AR, but it's nice to be able to get some cooks up high in the dome. The Woo is the best, most versatile price of equipment I have for my egg.Jefferson, GA

I actually did call a couple weeks ago. Spoke with a very friendly lady but I would be lying if I said she helped me make a decision.Mickey said:Call Tom @ CGS tel:940.387.0100

One piece that I liked about the D&C is the half moon griddle and half moon grate. I don't see those options listed for the AR. Does anyone know of a place that would sell one that would fit?jeffwit said:I've got the Woo/AR combo for my XL. I've been really happy with it.
