I woke up without lump on my mind. In the garage on my way to the Jeep, I passed unopened firecraft boxes full of RW. I was "lump content." Now I can't stop thinking about trying some Fogo. I don't NEED any more right now. . . I can't get Fogo locally that I know of. This is a decent deal. If I like it and prefer it over RW, this deal will not last and I will have to pay more. . . . sigh. . .Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

My last order of Rockwood (5 bags) was terrible. Couldn't hardly find any large chunks - just bags full of small shards. Perhaps shipping shook it to pieces... hoping for better things with this Fogo order. -
Thanks I ordered two bags, came out to $67 total.War Damn Eagle!

Ordered two bags. Anything under $1 a pound is good. I loved this stuff when I used it before.------------------------------

Ordered a couple 17lb bags to try. Has anyone used the quebracho? Using search, I found people talking about buying it, but no usage reports from the last year or two.Cooking on an XL and Medium in Bethesda, MD.

Can only talk about Fogo, and my honest opinion, it's more neutral than RW. I probably like Fogo a little better than RW.Ragtop99 said:Ordered a couple 17lb bags to try. With 2 bags or more and the discount, that's less than $1 per pound. Can't beat that with a stick!North Augusta, SC

Just bought two 35 lb. Bags. Great deal for $67 bucks. And free shipping to, thanks for the heads up.

I'm a RW fan because of how neutral it is. I just ordered 5 bags of RW from Firecraft. Now I'm thinking that maybe I should pick up some more of the Fogo too.tarheelmatt said:

Is the smaller bag the same product? If so, I don't understang the pricing. Two small bags would be 35 pounds and $40, but one 35pound bag is $45?
There is no quantity savings by buying the larger one.

Only tried one bag thus far. There were multiple pieces (at least 10-13) that were beyond large...enough that it barely fit in the MM w/ KAB & WOO set-up. The burn is long and neutral. Comes up to searing temps quickly as well. FWIW I'm cool w/ the monster chunks but, it's not a huge deal to me either way. So long as there isn't a bunch of dust/crap I'm good. I'm still 99% RW. Fogo is a good product though and I'd definitely get another bag.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Don't get me wrong, RW is my go to. I'd buy Fogo when Amazon had it on sale for cheaper than it is now. This deal sealed the deal.Ragtop99 said:

Now, I will agree with @NPHuskerFL , the bags generally have larger pieces.------------------------------

Dang it. I just took delivery of 3 bags of RW, and I love FOGO. Hopefully, the deal is still available next time I need to reorder.XL & Mini-max & knock off medium. Western North Carolina. Formerly Franklin, TN. Formerly in Palm Harbor, FL.

Is it possible to break up the larger pieces into something smaller? Or is that a bad idea with lump?NPHuskerFL said:Only tried one bag thus far. i do it all the time with no ill effects

The only problem I have had with the large Fogo pieces is fitting them into my humidor.. I don't have that problem with RW..Greensboro North Carolina

The smaller bag is not the same. The 35lb bag is more dense and larger pieces. Both are good quality though. I like the larger bag better.stompbox said:Is the smaller bag the same product? If so, I don't understang the pricing. Two small bags would be 35 pounds and $40, but one 35pound bag is $45?
