Wings in north Georgia

I buy almost all my meat at Costco but Fergusons meat market has by far the best wings I have found anywhere around here. Some of them are almost drumstick size and lots of meat compared to others I have found. The 10 lb bag was $27 super bowl weekend but it's usually a couple dollars cheaper so they are priced pretty good also. This was lunch super bowl day.

Yeah I bought my organic wings from Costco here in Seattle, they swapped on us and now sell fosters organic wings. Very small and not much meat (bigger company cheaper and lower quality go figure)...those look great.

My Costco doesn't have organic wings but they switched to some crappy wings. I have several packs in the freezer for emergency but won't buy more.

I use to say the same thing when I lived over your way. Bought many a wing from Furgasons.

Where in North GA?   I'm in Oconee County, just outside of Athens.   Stripling's General Store here is a great place for buying meat.   I've completely stopped buying meat at Publix b/c of Stripling's.   But, I always love finding a new butcher shop to visit.

It's in North cumming off HWY369 and 400 area. There's another decent one a couple miles down the road also called Wilkes. http://www.fergusonsmeatmarket.com

In regards to Costco, there was a supply issue with their chicken supplier(around me at least) so the went back to Foster Farms temporarily back in October. I don't know if this applies to other regions. This was on regular chicken, mine offers Coleman Organic. I typically get all my chicken at Wegmans since their supplier is Bell & Evans.

Thanks.   Will check it out the next time I'm over that way.   If you're ever near Athens, make sure to find Stripling's General Store and stop in.  Awesome place and really good people.
