BBQ Guru Case

What do you guys store your BBQ Guru gadgets in? I have the Cyber Q and have kept it in the original box which is starting to wear out. I've seen the $24 "pistol" case with the BBQ Guru badging on it from their online store--but I know there's folks out there that can do better for less...

I still use the original box, might eventually move to a small pelican case

I have a designated drawer in my kitchen that houses all of my EGGsessories including my CyberQ.

I have an inexpensive plastic box that I use for my Buba Guru. It serves as both a storage container and to protect the unit in case of rain. The PVC fitting comes off the end and goes inside the box. Also, have a second one for my Flame Boss. Thank @NPHuskerFL for the original idea.

I thought I could find a pistol case on Amazon or something for way cheaper... There are a few smaller ones that are about $9-10 but I don't think everything will fit in there.

I have the 'Official' BBq Guru carry case, it works, kinda cheapish. If I had to do it all over again, I'd scour eBay for an aluminum case. I can give you length and depth dimensions if you want. TimI've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

When I bought my Guru it just came in a throwaway cardboard box. I bought a pistol case and the only thing it doesn't hold is that fat power block. I'll post a picture of it but in the meantime it's a DoskoSport brand with hard exterior and foam inside. The approx dimensions are: 13.5 X 10 X 3.NavyMatty said:I thought I could find a pistol case on Amazon or something for way cheaper... Darn picture wouldn't stick. The one I like is the Sterilite 1805 flip top box. Less than $5 at my non-local Shopko store. The flip top keeps any rain from leaking into the box. It easily holds all the accessories when the cook is over.

Why aluminum over plastic? Sturdiness?SoCalTim said:I have the 'Official' BBq Guru carry case, it works, kinda cheapish. If I had to do it all over again, I'd scour eBay for an aluminum case. I can give you length and depth dimensions if you want. Tim -
I almost thought that this would be overkill... I mean a pelican case for a grill accessory???.. But then I realized that I bought a pelican case for a pistol many years ago--which ended was LESS expensive than the CyberQ and frankly less likely to be in a non-temperature controlled environment. You definitely have planted a bug in my ear... Continuing the search to a legitimate, weatherproof case, like Pelican...1move said:I still use the original box, might eventually move to a small pelican case

I paid $525 Canadian for my BBQ guru which is huge and one drop and the controller is gone. That's an expensive mistake in my opinion and one I am willing to protect. Pelican cases go on sale often and for example here is one...NavyMatty said:

@RRP - Like your case--just want to find one a little cheaper than BBQ Guru's $24 case.
