OT - RTIC 20 - how to keep it propped open

Any clever ideas for how to keep the RTIC 20 propped open?
I realize it's not supposed to be kept with lid completely shut so the gasket doesn't get compressed.
Mine has grown mold when not propped open if it's not 100% dry inside
Any clever suggestions for how to keep it a little propped open *without* wedging something between lid and bottom.
I don't want to keep it on its side either - don't want the lid to get off kilter.
I tried leaving the lid completely open, but then it will slam shut unexpectedly while accelerating and make me jump a foot out of the driver's seat :-) .

How about simply tucking the rubber latches under the lid?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@SmokeyPitt , that would work, except I don't want anything consistently pushing on the gasket when it's not being "used"
Gaskets are always the first cause of failure... -
Leave the drain plug open after draining it out.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I have always put coolers on side or upside down. Works for me.

I use a rag in my coolers that are stored in my shed, they don't have gaskets and I don't have my rtic yet to know how well that would work, but it keeps my coolers clean.

I tuck the rubber clasps into the opening and open the drain plug.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum

open lid 4 inches and the latches will swing back and stand on the rim, they dont need to be folded back on the gasket
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
@fishlessman
HEY that should work!
Gaskets have been such a problem for me
- dishwasher gasket sliced by a knife
- washer gasket is a pita
- magic bullet gasket broke -
Stand up a wine bottle inside

I close my roadie shut all the time, you are supposed to leave it open.... Nonsense unless worried about smells.Seattle, WA

I always clean my coolers then leave the open upside down over night. Then close as long as you want they won't mold if they are dry.

News to me... My rtic and yetis must be abused. Leave them full of water and crap for weeks on end. Even dried out and closed they haven't molded in the garage or back patio sitting out.

YETI's are built so tough that if you get mold inside just do a clean burn to get rid of it.FATC1TY said:News to me... My rtic and yetis must be abused. Leave them full of water and crap for weeks on end. Even dried out and closed they haven't molded in the garage or back patio sitting out.
