Subzero chicken

I picked up a new Kick Ash Basket so I figured I had best try it out yesterday despite the frozen Minnesota tundra.  I cut up a 6 pound home grown chicken and off I went.

It had been a while since I removed all the used lump out of the firebox but combined with the KAB it came up to temperature fast!  I wanted to cook at 375 but it shot right past and I caught it a bit over 400.  The good thing about -5 deg weather is the Egg cools down quick.

Cooked raised direct at 375 degrees with a Cookshack Spicy Chicken rub.
