Nice table! The reason I added my drawer was to lift my small egg so the opening would be the same level as my large next to it.

yes - I call it my "egg-cleaner-outer-and-guard-thing" - I made it out of heavy duty flashing with pop-rivets on the corners. Then a dowel for a handle. After scraping out the ash I have a habit of putting it in front just in case a spark made it through the screen. Has worked well now for 16 years!

Been meaning to eventually add 1 or multiple drawers to mine, but can't get out of the thinking-about-it phase, which seems to roll around every day at happy hour...my most creative, but least productive time.
