What I had planned for Friday finally happened today. Life got in the way and cooking time was limited.
Started out with 2 spatched chickens, one for the dip that was rubbed with Swamp Venom and the one for the Skillet Cornbread Gumbo was hit hard with Old Bay and Creole Seasoning. Everybody has seen spatched chicken so no pics
Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip. Chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and 1 bottle of Texas Pete hot sauce. Cooked at 375 for 40 mins

Now on for the Skillet Cornbread Gumbo.
Ingredients are smoked sausage, Egg'd chicken, onion, garlic, kale, okra, chicken stock, hot sauce and black eye peas

Getting happy on the gasser side burner

Once everything reduced a bit it went on the egg with a ring of cornbread added to the skillet

And plated

Thanks for looking.

As always great cook and pictures Matt. I make the dip a lot, but have never baked it in the egg. Is that what you did or in the inside box?Large and Small BGECentral, IL
