Buffalo Chicken Meatballs!

Took the idea from a post @Dyal_SC awhile ago. Used two pounds of ground chicken breast. Mixed in some seasoned bread crumbs....... Around 1/2 cup, 2 eggs, couple tbsp of onion onion tastefully simple, couple tbsp of cluck and squeal all purpose. Setup egg indirect at 400 dome with a couple chunks of apple wood. Cooked until 150ish the coated with Frank's hot sauce and a stick of butter mixed together. Set the sauce and pulled at 170. These are amazing! Drizzled some homemade buttermilk ranch on top.

did you take them out and dump them in the hot sauce and put back on the grill, or did you just try to brush the hot sauce on them? Thanks!

@bhedges1987 I took the sauce pot outside and brushed the meatballs with the sauce. These were not firm enough to pull, toss and back on the grill.

Those look great. I need to make the recipe for buffalo Chicken Meatballs my wife found that incorporates blue cheese and hot sauce into the mixture. They always turn out great from the oven, so I can't wait to try them from the egg.Medium BGE , iGrill2

That's my favorite way to do it. Indirect cook then brush with sauce for last 5 minutes then squeeze the cool dressing on top ! @Brisket_FanaticBrisket_Fanatic said:@bhedges1987 I took the sauce pot outside and brushed the meatballs with the sauce. @Dyal_SC or others: what do you recommend as a make-your-own-from-spice-cabinet rub to dust these with? I can't afford to keep running out and buying pre-made rubs!! thanksRichmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

I am sure whatever you come up with will be great on these. Little salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder and onion powder, etc. The buffalo sauce will be the dominating flavor on these regardless.JethroVA said:@Dyal_SC or others: what do you recommend as a make-your-own-from-spice-cabinet rub to dust these with?
