I've been seeing these rubs used alot. I figured y not give it a try. I've heard great success stories with the mojave and pecan. Any 1 try the brisket rub?

I have used the brisket rub on several briskets. If you like it peppery, add some to it, if not, let it ride. The pecan rub is a classic. Pork and chicken for me, mostly pork. I would think the brisket rub and the Mojave garlic pepper might be good combined?

It is so easy to make your own rubs. Just play around and google it a bit. No need to pay so much for small containers of rubs that are probably stail from sitting on a shelf. I buy my spices bulk from Penzey, mix up my rubs and leave any extrra in a mason jar for next time.--Dave from Leesburg, VA BGE XL, Viking 42", Firepit with $16 grill

The Texas Brisket Rub is very good.

If you are buying your raw ingredients from Penzey's then it is likely more expensive than buying a pre-made rub. Don't get me wrong I am sure they are great...but you aren't saving any money.DaveM said:It is so easy to make your own rubs. Just play around and google it a bit.
