(I'm in ND so standing outside with a beer watching the thing heat up, isn't going to happen very often for 6 months of the year due to winter).
I hear ya. Then again, I don't stand outside with a beer watching the thing heat up even in August! =) I don't stand around watching it heat up at all. I light it and come back later.

I have a DigiQ though I don't use it all that often. When I do, it's for overnighters. I've never even tried it for higher temp cooks. Just too easy to cook without it.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
