Griddle Cover Riser OT
When I got my Blackstone and put the cover on I knew I needed to do some thing. So I first used a couple of roasting pans, open side down. Later my great friend, Spring Chicken got himself a Blackstone. As I, he was a quandary about the cover also. But with a sharper mind than me, he went all creative and below is the results of his great work and knowledge.
A big thanks to Leroy, Spring Chicken. (Problem Solver)
Enjoy...

Ok, so what is it? Inquiring minds, and fellow owners, want to know.

He took a couple of strips of aluminum and basically made 2 rails and 2 styles. Found the sweet spot for the pivot points so it will fold back on itself.theyolksonyou said:Ok, so what is it? Inquiring minds, and fellow owners, want to know.
This keeps the cover from making contact with the grilling surface. And with applying a thin film of oil after I cook, the cover will not get oily and damage the seasoning.

Guess what I use...

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I use an inverted disposable aluminum steam pan. It' has worked great so far and I always have a ton of them around for comps.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum
