I wouldn't pay  more than a hundred bucks. I have replaced parts on both of my eggs twice in less than 3 years. The sum total is more than the cost of a new egg. The Warranty is why you buy an EGG, IMO.
Hey, which parts have you had to replace on your Egg?  Part of the reason I bought mine was I was sick of replacing propane grills every few years.  Other than the gasket, I thought these things would last forever?
Cracks in firebox and fire ring.  IF you don't do a lot of high heat cooks, it's unlikely to break. I bake a lot of bread and pizza in mine and the temp sometimes runs away.

Wow, I guess that's pretty common?  Though I thought those cracks were largely cosmetic.

Yeah, the cracks I don't worry about, but mine are now broken into pieces and I have to build a 3d puzzle to balance the fire ring up and my grid now sits about an inch higher on one side than the other.. Time for a new firering and firebox.

Cracks will happen but nothing guaranteed. For $300 it's like buying a gas grill that works for 3-4 years. It's a win if you get 3-4 years out of it. You could grill with it the rest of your life without issues or it could crack tomorrow. I've had my large the longest (6 years) and the only claim I've made was the cracked cast iron fire grate. I'm still using it cracked but made a claim as the non-ceramic parts have a limited 5 year warranty. My small had a grid issue but was minor. Knock on wood but no ceramic issues so far. I'm guessing you will have many years without issues. Hoping for the best. =)

Very true.  I have made use of my small in it's current 4 piece firebox configuration for nearly a year. It's still turning out great food, just annoying. I do feel great knowing it'll be replaced for free though!
