$1100 is a very fair price for an egg. IMO, the dealer should be allowed to make a profit.I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

Roswell Hardware has great prices during the holidays. Their facebook page shows up to $400 off. I bought an XL there last year with plate setter, lump etc for $1100.

I'm not saying it's not a fair price. I am just looking for best price I can find. Based off other threads I've seen them going for 850 ish for the same setup they are asking 1100SoCalTim said:$1100 is a very fair price for an egg. IMO, the dealer should be allowed to make a profit. From DFW TX

Best price is a loaded question. You can occassionally find eggs at Costco and Sams Club, but they have no warranty.stx.dead.I said:

If you just want the chespest price for a quality Kamado cooker then go Kamado Joe from Costco road show.
I think a fair price from a great dealer will be better in the long run for you.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

They would lose money at that price. Maybe Eggfest where the mothership kicks in the goodies for free. That is the only time the dealer gets any break from the mothership. One time per year.stx.dead.I said:

It's also very regional. What @SoCalTim thinks is fair in so cal I would say is highway robbery here 100 miles from the mothership.

I could have bought my eggs cheaper, for sure, but the service I get makes up for the cost. My dealer will wait after closing for me, has offered to deliver a part 50 miles away, that they forgot to give me. The other guy shuts down at 5, and no Saturday hours. Claims he needs some time off.
All I'm trying to say, is the cheapest isn't always the best.
1 LBGE, 1 SBGE, 1 KBQ and a 26" Blackstone near Blackstone, Virginia -
When I was looking at buying a large I think it was 1000 for large egg, nest and mates so the deal he's giving you is fair.

Don't blame the guy for some time off one bit ... In this day and age of 24 hour shopping including holidays :( family first in my opinion ... But your 200% correct cheapest no always the best ... If you want Cheap you won't usually get all three pick two that's about it ....(quality materials, quality work & on time)rifrench said:I could have bought my eggs cheaper, for sure, but the service I get makes up for the cost. Little update, thanks for the responses on this guys. I called a couple of dealers in the metroplex, got the lowest quote then went to the one where the guy told me he would match and beat any price. Showed the ad to the guy that told me that he seemed kinda ticked off that I took him up on his offer. Another salesman came out and was great about it! Walked out with a Large BGE, nest, mates, plate setter, ash tool, grill gripper, starters, and charcoal.
Me and the fiancé are having thanksgiving dinner this Sunday with her family and we are maidening the egg with a turkey! Im thinking the mad max looks pretty good and appears to have solid reviews on here. Im new to grilling(ish) and brand new to grilling just about anything other than steaks and burgers ( I rock burgers).
