Need help - First time to cook chicken wings
Need nelp: I plan to cook a package of chicken wings this evening. What's the best way to cook them, direct or indirect, what dome temperature, and about how long does it take. I'll prep them with olive oil, salt and pepper, and seasoning I use on thighs and whole chickens. Help will be much appreciated.

Chuck/Tx,
I cook wings on a raised grid direct at 350° turning ever 15 minutes for about a hour.

Chuck/Tx,[p]I am an admitted old baster, so after trimming & preparing, I reserve the tips to make a basting sauce for wings. Link with recipe and pictures is below. [p]What ever way you go, get some rub on them now so they can season a while in the fridge. Jim Goode/JJ rub is one of my favorites on wings[p]~thirdeye~

YB, man-o-man, does that look good.

thirdeye, that's a great idea to trim them the way you do. I've bookmarked the site and appreciate your help.

Mark ,
Holly Molly, they have taken the grilling of takes wings to a whole new level. With all the info I've received, I now have to figure out which way to try for my first wing cook on the egg. Many thanks.

<p />Chuck/Tx,[p]I made a batch tonight. Raised grid, ~400 deg, for about 35 mins[p]

DrJ,[p]Those look great! Is there a sauce or marinade or rub on there?
I've got a batch for tomorrow, and I'm trying to decide what to do with them.[p]
