My wife and I love it on chicken whether it be pieces and parts or whole yard birds and I have used it with satisfaction on turkey breasts. My advice is go for the whole gobbler and you'll be fine - BUT just don't cake it on the skin, but work it up under the skin on the breast for best results. Let us know your results! BTW for a delicious smell throw a raw whole onion on the coals when you put your gobbler on and little wood if any other than apple or pecan. The onion smell will make you happy, make your bird have an added taste and make your neighbors jealous! TRUST ME!!!

Yes, I did it a couple of weeks ago.  Turned out great.

As ron said, it's great on chicken too. A great poultry rub

Indeed I have. I may be biased, but my spatchcocked turkey cooked direct always seems to go over well. Here is how I do them when I don't need to go super traditional. Happy TDay!! Chris

I cannot for the life of me decide between this and Mad Max.  Have you tried Mad Max @Nature Boy?

I almost put Tsunami Spin on the turkey today but I decided to let SWMBO taste it and Yardbird. Yardbird won out on the taste test. She said she didn't like the Sesame Seeds in the first one. Maybe I should have added Raging River into the taste test. Maybe next time.

Eggsurance Agent, part of the reason I did the spatched turkey was to turn Max's world upside down :) Just kidding really….it was to show there is more than one way. I love Max's turkey, and not sure if I have had a better traditionally cooked bird! His instructions are well documented and proven, and Mad Max has made a LOT of people happy over the years.
    Cheers!
