Weekend BBQ

Having 20-30 people over this weekendt for a Halloween BBQ. I plan on cooking burgers, chicken and steak.
Burgers are easy and the chicken I haven't decided if I'm going to use breast or slap some BBQ sauce on some drums. The steaks have been sitting in the freezer for about 8 months and those are where I'm drawing a blank. I usually throw some DP on them and call it a day but was thinking a sauce to mask the freezerness would probably be best. Any suggestions?

Make up a compound butter with some fresh herbs and slap a small pat of it on each steak as you take it off, or use olive oil with herbs and make a board sauce. Search compound butter or board sauce.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
Here's an article on it never tried it but looks easy enough.

Not to throw a wrench in things, but here I go, why not do a high yield cook such as pork butt, pork loin, spatch chickens, etc. something which requires less attention and easier for you to manage and enjoy your guests? Burgers and such require a higher level of attention and will be a much bigger handful for you to manage. Just my 2 cents. Good luck either way. Should be fun.

I wanted to do a pork butt they sell them at this ethnic grocery store up the road for cheap. I've never done one and do t want to screw it up either. All the above stuff is in one of our freezers and needs to be cooked up since it's nearing the end of its freezer life.

Pretty hard to screw up a butt
