First BGE Pork Butt! & Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Purchased my Large BGE as soon as I moved into my first home ever purchased (it was a must have). Probably could of benefited more from a lawn mower or other first time home buyer essentials, but for me this was essential ever since I tasted food off of one I was determined to have my own.
I have been cooking on it for about a month now and have done various cooks of all ranges, but this was my first ever pork butt. I purchased a small one, about 4.5lbs bone in at a local meat market and decided to give it a shot. I rubbed with olive oil, and used some byrons butt rub and meat church honey hog bbq rub. Used an Ivation wireless remote thermometer which I had purchased from Amazon. I don't believe this was very accurate, does anyone have any better options as far as a thermometer? Anyways I cooked at roughly between 240-265 range, depending on the accuracy of the thermometer. This little butt took a little longer than expected (9 hrs), especially thru the stalls but I stuck with it and finally was able to pull it off at 196 IT, and let it rest until about 200IT. Below are a few pics, as well as a picture of a homemade buffalo chicken pizza I made after pulling off the butt.

Congrats and way better purchase than a lawn mower! The food looks killer! I'd maybe look into a Maverick et-735 remote thermometer
A must have is a Thermoworks Thermapen thermometer for quick readings."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Depending on your low&slow cooking style you can get by with anything that you can see, either eyeball or external to the BGE. Any thermo you can calibrate and can handle an oven as long as you can see the gauge face works if you don't want to invest much. El cheapo grocery ones will work but you will want a high-speed instant read for hot&fast as mentioned above. FWIW-and just an opinion...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
