I've lost a LOT of sleep over the years watching a LOT of late-nite 'classics'.
    Forbidden Planet?
    Kill Bill?
    Casino?
    Yes, and even Pulp Fiction.

Can't be helped, though.   Gotta see 'em.

I'd be lying if I said I never did the same.  Pulp Fiction gets me every time.

My absolute favorite movie. I know there's better out there, but it's my favorite. Goodfellas is a close second place.

I've never seen Pulp Fiction. I can't get past John Travolta being in it. Don't know why but never been a fan. I should give it a chance

I can't ever pass up The Big Lebowski.......funniest movie ever made!!!  My wife hates it so if I ever want to be left alone I start watching it and laugh really loud......she leaves room immediately.

John Travolta is a giant douche but he just plays himself in this movie.  Give it a chance.  We used to watch it every Christmas when we got all the siblings together.

There are some movies that just seem to always be in rotation and you have to watch at least a little of them when you're channel surfing - most of these above fall into that category.  Not necessarily great, but always on somewhere and hard to pass by.  For various reasons, I always stop on theses too.

    Independence Day
    12 Monkeys
    Day After Tomorrow
    Lost in Translation
    El Mariachi
    The Mexican
To Live and Die in LA

I know there must be more or I would be getting better sleep.

+1 on Shawshank. Die Hard, True lies (for some strange reason). Two of my favorite dark horses are Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and Apolo 13. But my all time favorite is Blow, Johnny Dep at his best and Penelope Cruz at her worst.
    Fish, Hunt, Cook....anything else?

There are certain movies that I can watch over and over and never seem to tire of them. Most of them are really good to go to sleep to.

    Not in any particular order but here goes;

Die Hard (any of them, but I didn't really care for Die Hard 2 or the new one)
Terminator (Love them all, but haven't seen the new one)
    Day After Tomorrow
    2012
Any of the Planet of the Apes movies (from 2001 and up)
    True Lies
    Broken Arrow
    Con Air
    There's Something About Mary
    Dante's Peak
    The Great Outdoors
    Planes, Trains & Automobiles
    Uncle Buck
    Home Alone

I felt the SAME WAY about LeoDiCaprio.    But he was very good in 'The Aviator' and was perfect in 'Catch Me If You Can'.

Travolta has done some good stuff.   Check him out in 'Phenomenon' and his most AWFUL role in 'Battlefield Earth'.   the last?   Based on an L.Ron Hubbard book series.   Don't forget that Travolta is also a Scientologist, and L.Ron got THAT ball rolling.    Gets the 'so bad it's good' award.
