how often do you polish your YETIs and with what?

Let's face it stainless steel is not stainless and even daily washing in hot water and soap still leaves behind some cloudy haze. 2 or 3 times now I have used a spray of Stainless Steel Magic. That cleans and polishes them for the time being but is still not fingerprint resistant after a few more washes. Any body have a good product to recommend?

You wash them?

Many of the stainless steel treatments (for fridges, etc) are really just mineral oil. Instead of removing fingerprints, they actually obliterate them with a sheen of oil all over.
Stainless really is (cosmetically) a problem if you are looking for a permanently clean solution. I think a few washes is the best you can hope for.

SS has always been over rated.......... I find it funny how the world thinks it's so wonderful like it won't rust but the cheap SS will rust like crazy. I'm old school and love my Tervis Tumblers at a fraction of the cost and no special maintenance.......

Ron just lives the life of the gasket guru, he bleeds and sweats permatex glue. So he has needs to get that off the Yeti occasionally. ( that was almost a poem)LBGE, AR. Lives in N.E. ATL

Barker person Friend is great stuff.

I don't Ron. Like you, I take good care of my stuff. I have to admit though, I don't mess with the stainless grates much. I see shiny stuff once and a while.

Tervis isn't a fraction of the cost by the time you get a lif the tervis is 2/3rds the cost of a 20 yeti. I have a cabinet full of tervis and they never get used anymore they are not even in the same ball park as the yeti cups.Jupiter Jim said:SS has always been over rated.......... My Yeti only sees iced tea. I call it "patina" and don't worry about it.

Uncle Si ? Is that you?

I hear you about the patina left inside - I was talking about the no longer shiny "grain pattern" on the exterior. For our use my wife and I know the YETIs are clean but when guests come over to sit outside I don't want to hand them YETIs that look like they have a collection of the FBIs finger print files stored on them.Botch said:My Yeti only sees iced tea. Ron......I use to have a microfiber stainless steel cloth that I used on some of my appliances. It was specifically for stainless and used no chemicals. It was good at removing prints. Chech Amazon......right certain they have them. Would link but not on the right device.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

If so, yep. Works great on my sink and pots/pans. The cream is less abrasive. -

Unless Yeti is code for an anatomical part, I don't polish it because it's a tool. We just throw ours in the dishwasher every now and then.______________________________________________I love lamp..

Yes. That is what I meant. -
They are explicit about not dishwashering it Nola. Did you decide that was really for the lid or ?.nolaegghead said:Unless Yeti is code for an anatomical part, I don't polish it because it's a tool. We just throw ours in the dishwasher every now and then.LBGE, AR. Lives in N.E. ATL -
