My 1st Tri-Tip
Partick
Posts: 18
Just finished my first ever tri-tip cook! Overall very pleased with the results.
Trader Joe's Tri-tip
Trader Joe's Tri-tip
Rubbed down a homemade Santa Maria style rub.

Indirect at 300 to an internal temp of 125 then reversed seared 3 minutes per side. Rested about 15 minutes

Made a sandwich out of a few slices. Made a homemade maple bourbon sauce to go with it (not my best sauce).
Grilled peaches and vanilla ice cream to finish the meal off

Nice. I'm another that loves this cut. With everyone jumping on the tri-tip train, we'll be paying $12.00 per/lb. by next summer.Steven

CA native, lucky to have grown up with this cut. Nicely done. Adam Perry Lang Honey Garlic Glaze Tri-Tip recipe (lots of work) is the best I've had.

Tri tips are one of the easiest cuts to cook. No wonder they are so popular.
