Finally got the new dual fuel range, ventilation hood, and backsplash installed today. Still need to put some stainless in the gap above the backsplash and put the cabinets back up to the left of the stove. Cabinets are getting refinished starting next week, and new granite goes in the first week of September.  Can't wait for this remodel to be finished.

Sorry for the lousy cell phone pic.

Thanks all.  Still got some work to do obviously, but it will be nice when it is finished. Need to pick up some heat lamps for the warming shelf also.

Really nice looking set up.  I have been spending so much time working on my Egg cooking area that my wife told me tonight that she is thinking about turning the kitchen into her gym and workout facility when it is done.  Didn't see that one coming.

It is pretty big at 36" and 6 burners, but I really had my heart set on the 48" to add dual ovens and a built-in griddle, but it would have cost us too much cabinet space. Oh well, life is all about compromise.

wow @CTMike that looks awesome! What range is that? Is that a Kitchenaid? I have been researching ranges as we are doing a kitchen remodel in the next couple years. Would love to know how you like that range as you break it in.

Looks GREAT!  I'm glad you got a variety of burner sizes.  We had a Viking gas range in the house we rented at the beach, this year, and I hated it, because all of the burners were large, which meant that for smaller pots, the flame was too big around and went up the sides of the pots rather than intensely hitting the bottom of it.

My wife and I did a remodel a few years ago and went with an induction range, and we LOVE it!  It's faster than gas (!).  I really like it better than anything else I've ever cooked on.  the only down side was that we had to get rid of most of our pots and pans because they wouldn't work with induction.

Your stove looks great, and for people who love to cook, there's nothing better than a really good stove.  Enjoy it!

@CTMike, looks like a great setup you got there.  Understand all the work, just completed our kitchen update...in the end totally worth the effort.

    IPA,

It is indeed a Kitchenaid KDRU767VSS. I looked at similar Wolf and Viking models, but this one tops the ratings on Consumer Reports, not to mention being a few grand cheaper than the other models.

Cabinets have been professionally sprayed, and granite install just finished up. Now it's up to me to tile the backsplash and finish paint and trim.

Thanks for the compliments all, it has been a long process. I still need to hang two cabinets to the left and right of the range hood also. On the other wall an unused coat closet was converted to a large pantry. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you btw, the uppers and lowers are different colors, and the island and pantry are a third color.

Got the backsplash under the cabinets completed today, waiting for it to dry before grouting. Grout is a light gray. I wanted charcoal gray to match the counter but SWMBO won this battle.
