Hello All,
Anyone in the greater Madison, WI might want to stop by Costco in Middleton if they're in the mood for prime packer briskets at $3.79/#! I'm traveling this week and have very limited freezer space so I only picked up one (the smallest one...), but there were about 4 left that all looked awesome! @XC242 I'm thinking of you...
Cheers all -

That is nice! I have never seen anything but flats at my closest Costco, and never for $3.79 @ pound....

Maybe all us greater Baltimore folks need to pick a Costco and all call and request they carry them. If they get 6-10 calls they're more likely to carry them than if just one of us does.GATABITES said:My local Costco doesnt carry Prime packers.LBGE

how long will these last? What is the result of freezing and thawing? Any other suggestions on how far in advance you can purchase and then cook (many variables I'm sure, including quality of one's refrigerator, temp, etc.

That's what I've been cooking for my past few briskets. They're a great deal. No need to go get the choice packers at restaurant depot if these are available.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Sweet. I wish I could find prime in the ATL. It's all choice or select here.

I saw this a couple weeks ago

They're certainly not the norm here either, this is the first time I've ever seen them. I've heard frequently on this forum that they sometimes pop up 'randomly' at a given location (thus the thread title). Really wish I had more space, there were several NICE briskets I had to leave behind...
