yeah there are way too many wings for it to cook all evenly. I pulled them as soon as I took that pic. Just had my first .... errr... first few georgia red wings and these things are awesome. 10lbs was not enough, these will not last long...
Swamp venom is on deck, fingers are still sticky as we speak LOL -
Curious to how you test turns out as I don't flip my wings either when cooking indirect. Please post your resultsboostfed said:I wasnt planning on turning them since I have a foil covered plate setter but I'll make sure theyre @165 before pulling them, i'll try a few batches flipped and not flipped to see which one I prefer.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Gotta have another batch rolling by now....I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

the last of 3 batches are on now, half way through. Honestly, I like flipping the wings better, it evens out the texture of the wings , not sure how it does for crispiness or taste but they look better, these wings are good altogether.
Theyre a tad salty but not by much, but I like salty. SWMBO is sodium/heat sensitive and I got the thumbs up from her, I used low sodium kikkoman brand soy sauce. I love heat so I may up the hot sauce or use something with a little more heat next time. But these wings are absolutely awesome! Many thanks for sharing the recipe @RRP , i'm certain these will be a hit tomorrow, cold or not! It's definitely a shame these great wings can't be enjoyed straight off the egg, but hey, theyre good regardless. The swamp venom added some bite but I mightve sprinkled a bit much for my own good, lol.

Thanks for the tip of the hat, my cyber friend! I sincerely hope you and your buddies enjoy those wings and they become a tradition for you! BTW...aren't you glad now that you didn't wait to try to cook that 10 pounds of wings on that tiny camp stove? Sometimes cold is just as good as I tried to explain earlier in this week!boostfed said:the last of 3 batches are on now, half way through. I'm absolutely sure Im happy I cooked these ahead of time, these will be a staple for sure!! Not to mention the real time support from everyone (Thank you!!) :P The obligatory money shot, all ready for tomorrow.
If these were made-to-eat, there'd be no chance of getting a picture, they'd be lapped up before I can pull out my phone.
