If you purchased from @RRP he sent detailed instructions.

I did purchase from him but lost the instructions, been going commando for awhile

He sends them with them. You get it from a third party

I'm hiding here in plain open sight. Send me a PM along with your name and email address and I'll be glad to reply to you.cul-de-sac-er said:I did purchase from him but lost the instructions, been going commando for awhileRe-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -

24 hours enough dry time before cooking steaks at high temps?
-
Yes. The Permatex hardens to the touch in 1 hour, but according to the manufacturer it requires a chemical cure which takes 24 hours. External heat will not speed it along. So after 24 hours then HAVE AT IT!cul-de-sac-er said:24 hours enough dry time before cooking steaks at high temps?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
How clean does the rim need to be to install the Rutland? Thx
-
Just want to send kudos to Ron. Emailed him and he put Rutlands in the mail for my L and XL same day. That's what brothers do. Thanks again Ron! @RICHIED777, reasonably clean, not dirty.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

Hey Richie...the surface should be reasonable clean and have no residual adhesive from the prior gasket otherwise there's a good chance the Permatex couldn't grab. Did you pick up one of those 3M wheels or a similar product to chuck into a 1/4" electric drill like I talk about in the instruction sheet? Using that cleans it up just fine! And then if you really want to finish cleaning use a pumice stone and NOT one you swipe from Wendy!RICHIED777 said:How clean does the rim need to be to install the Rutland? Thx
