Just when I thought i was a smart guy you post the onion egg ring. As others have stated assume use of the onion. I will say, stealing the idea and hope I give your credit when aske for if you thunk it up, great job.Plumbers local 130 chicago. Why do today what you can do tomorrow

Pretty cool product and nice cook as usual, @NPHuskerFL . I wonder if the Nubee Temperature Gun (or similar product) would work on that surface? (I know when I first purchased mine for use on my pizza stone and reading the instructions there was something about expected reading variances on different surfaces--e.g., shiny surfaces.)

@mahenryak Using it as we speak. Direct has its +'s and so does indirect. Gotta somewhat analyze what your cooking and what you're trying to achieve. Look at @HuddleHouseCook when he posts. He went indirect.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

@johnkitchens apparently it can be utilized for stir fry too. I'll try my luck at that. Although I'm a firm believer of the right tool for the right job. I'll try it though.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Nice job, Blake. The onion trick was a very cool game changer in my book. You stepped it up and I can;t wait to see what you do with that new toy!

You can use this on any flat surface. Just remove the onion after the egg has set up OR I've also flipped with the onion enact and serve as is for a nice flavor contrast. I need to break out the Kettle Q it hasn't been used in awhile. I've been using my CI cookware more than anything.
