I'm
a big fan of Chef Michael Symon. I enjoy watching him on the Chew.com
and his past show Symons Suppers. I have a couple of his cookbooks that
I have yet to have a bad meal from. Yesterday, Michael announced on
his Facebook page that there was a release of the new Michael Symon
Cutlery (http://www.ergochef.com/MichaelSymoncutlery.php).
While I'm not in the market for a new set of knives, I thought I would
check them out. After looking around a bit, I found this.

Myron Mixon Pitmaster Grill Tool
Interesting looking little tool, although I will never buy one. I don't see it being used, and I just don't need another "gadget" collecting dust in my drawer.
Anyone got thoughts on it?

Looks like you can clean your teeth, cut your meat and pop open bottles lol!MM & XL BGE, Bay Area CA

I honestly don't see why they are combining a knife with a flipping tool and a bottle opener. I just see myself getting cut when I open a beer or flip steaks.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I think it is more dangerous than anything else. Kind of pointless IMOColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

I guess since BBQ Pit Boys hawk knives everyone should.... I think you can flip with the tip of a knife as well as that pigtail and I would be scared to open a wet, sweating bottle with an opener built into the blade of a knife.
I hope Michael and Myron have good insurance for the claims they will get...

What is wrong with opening a bottle with a raw meat juice laden blade?

After a few beers things would go very, very badly with that knife...LBGE (still waitin' for my free T-Shirt), DIgiQ DX2 (In Blue, cause it's the fastest), Heavy Duty Kick Ash Basket, Mc Farland, WI.

If it wasn't for my BGE I'd have no use for my backyard... -
I like it. I use my pig tail flipper a lot and find myself looking for a knife. I don't see it being any more dangerous than juggling both of those tools.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum

One of the last foodie gifts my mom got me for x-mas was the Ergo Chef Guy Knuckle Sandwhich 8" Chefs. Wasn't keen at first, but it gets just as much use as the Shuns and Tojiro. Was kind of intrigued by the similar fork/turner, serrated utility knife that is pictured below it. Seems to get solid reviews.

The angled handle on my knuckle sandwich knife is nice. Holds an edge, and even came with a sleeve for storage, travel. Use it for fests and camping.
For $30, this MM knife may not be that bad.
Nice to have one sharp tool and a cutting board to pack.
