Wash, bake, add butter, sour cream and cheese, eat!
Sometimes, just to change things up; I'll leave the wash step out.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada -
Wash, apply olive oil, kosher salt, temp to 205.I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

I agree with SoCalTim, and if you are in a big hurry you can pop them in the microwave for a few minutes before putting them on the grill.Fort Worth Texas

I agree with @SoCalTim, I used to wrap in foil till I did some reading. When you wrap in foil you are actually steaming the potato versus baking it. The texture is totally different. I sometimes wrap after cooking for presentation when company comes over.

+1 more for olive oil+kosher salt. On the egg indirect at 350-400 until they feel soft or IT is over 200. I don't use foil unless I need to keep them warm after I take them off.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Foil cooked is steamed.______________________________________________I love lamp..

This is a great suggestion. If you have the time to plan ahead it is hard to beat a twice baked.EggNorth said:It's always 'Double baked' for me: http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1131516/chops-and-baked-potatoesWhich came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -

I'm lazier. Micro until soft, cut, butter, eat.

Ditto, except that I moisten mine with butter instead of olive oil. I also prefer the gold potatoes over russet potatoes.SoCalTim said:Wash, apply olive oil, kosher salt, temp to 205.Dave - Austin, TX -

In addition to baking - I like to slice up some Yukon golds, chop up onions and peppers. Add a little EVOO and some butter. Season with favorite rub or spice. I started using a drip pan to cook them in.Woodbury, MN. LBGE, Weber gasser, ECB
