It's an interesting article and I'm sure it turns out great BBQ. I'm a little wary of the fact that it has a built in computer. I just wonder if you can regulate the temp yourself without the computer.

Huh, admin must have deleted it - no great loss there was no real discussion of the article itself, primarily dealing with the respective merits of the NY Times and the people who do or do not read it.

I'd have the same question as Grillin beers about the computer, and how they power the computer, and what happens if there is a battery problem and/or power outage during the cook.
