TGIF! Beef Back Ribs

Smoking some beef back ribs. Never done these before so hopefully they turn out okay. $10 at Safeway so can't complain if I screw them up.

Tossed in some chunks of hickory and apple wood. Gonna go between 200-225 until done. These aren't too thick so I'm thinking maybe 2.5-3 hours.

I don't have a beef rub, so just threw on garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on the top and bottom. (Hopefully enough)

Smoking a La Polina to pass the time and enjoy the weather....

Took them off after 3 hours. Came out good. Wish there were more meat on them, gotta find the brontosaurus ribs next time!

Back ribs at first appear to be cheap, but it's 'cause there ain't much meat.

Those look really great. I agree that the big problem with beef back ribs is the amount of meat on them. I generally buy beef chuck short ribs at Restaurant Depot where I can get full slabs and also a boneless version that is also great.
