Mini Max w/Smokeware Cap

I have wanted to use my Mini Max in the rain since we have had so much of it lately. I added a Smokeware cap to my Mini Max and gave it a test run. The cap doesn't fall off when dome is open either. I used a Rutland rope gasket to seal the gaps between the cap and the top of the egg. I fired up some left over Rockwood to cure the adhesive and didn’t see any leaks so I threw a rack of ribs and a small 2.5# butt.

Nice set up all around on your MM. I have to ask, what kind of controller is that and do you like it? I don't think I've ever seen that one.

Thanks. The controller is the BBQ Guru PartyQ. It's great. It runs on batteries so I just keep a fresh set of rechargables when I need to swap them out.

Here's a pic of the finished and pulled 2.5# pork butt. I plan on using this one for pork tacos with Blues Hog Tennessee red sauce, pickled red onion, cilantro, avocado.
