4th of July Meal

Here is the spread we made for the 4th. Family was in from out of town, so we just wanted to make something easy that everyone would enjoy.
This was the first time I've done pulled beef, but it definitely wont be the last! I will probably tweak a few things for next time, but the pepper stout beef recipe I used was an excellent guide.
Other than the beef, just some wings, ABTs, green beans, and some other non-egged sides.
The wings were coated with Honey Hog, Honey Hog Hot, and Sugarfire BBQ rub. I did a test batch earlier in the week using the HH and HHH, they were good, but lacked some flavor. So this time I really coated them well and let them sit in the fridge for about an hour. They didn't lack flavor this time! Everyone said they were some of the best wings they've had. The ABTs were stuffed with a mixture of bacon, sauteed onions, and cheese blend; delicious as usual.
All in all I think everyone went back for seconds..thirds...maybe fourths and left fat and happy, so I would say it was a great success! Hope everyone had a great 4th as well.

The top pick appears to be a nice chuck roast? How long how hot? End result looks great!Franklinville, Western NY

Yessir, it was a 4.5# chuck roast. ~3 hrs at 275 then covered in a pan with the veggies for about another 3 hrs, then finished uncovered for the last 30 min.Duuane said:The top pick appears to be a nice chuck roast?
