Here in NE ohio - they aren't many people with eggs so searching for used parts really seems impossible (tried craigslist).  Where else do I look?  Ebay?  does this forum have a classified section?  I am looking for a hinge, firebox, grate and a dome thermometer for a Large BGE.

dome therm is made by teltru, you can buy direct, hique makes a replacement grate, if you can puzzle the old firebox back together it works fine, my firebox is in a dozen separate pieces and has been that way for maybe 8/10 years. the hinge will be hard to find unless you buy it from bge and any you find online second hand are probably defective

whats the item that sits ontop of the firebox that the plate setter sits in?  I am trying to get some used items so I can setup a 2nd egg.  I have a bottom and top LBGE but need all the stuff that goes inside plus a hinge

Just post in subject WANTED xxx. A few years back I had bought a veery old Japanese Kamado that needed a band to open and close.  Asked the forum and someone in California was replacing the hinge for the new spring type.  We traded some spices for the hinge and it all worked out.
