Made steaks tonight, they were 1 3/4 inches thick. I cooked them direct at 600 turning every 45 seconds until they hit 110. Pulled them rested them on a plate wrapped in foil for about 7min. Sides were simple potatoes cooked in the lodge CI do. Sea send them with fresh garlic, season salt and bacon dip mix. Green beans cooked on the egg on CI skillet. Seasoned them up with garlic, evoo, season salt.

Looks great! I like your meat to sides ratio.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Nice.
I'm becoming a fan of multiple flipping. I think we're gonna see more of it on the forum in the future. I know people are set on and like the reverse sear, but I think it's easier to hit the target temp being a flipper.Steven

@stemc33 agree the multi flip is the way to go. It's fast and you get a perfectcrustin the outside while having a nice pink color all the way to the middle.XL BGE, KJ classic, Joe Jr, UDS x2

Being a flipper goes against everything that's been ingrained in our head. That old saying "if your looking your not cooking" will take a while to forget for several outdoor cooks.Steven
