Does anyone have any feedback on the tailgate hitch? Cost?

If your talking about the hitch assembly that allows you to transport your egg on your vehicle, it's no longer in production. Myself, I would never put my egg on such a thing ... I can only imagine hitting a pothole and or worse, being rear ended and watching my major investment spread out all over the highway.

There's a lot of increased bouncing on those trailer hitch carriers, not sure i'd risk it.Phoenix

I wouldn't do it, but if I did, I'd make sure I had one of those screw in locking receiver pins. My bike rack doesn't bounce in the receiver.

If you get rear ended, hit a pothole, hit some monster railroad tracks, a securing strap breaks, blah, blah, blah...your egg is gonna have a bad time.

Don't do it. If you do take it out of the nest so that it won't be as top heavy and just slide into bed of your truck and cushion it good tie it off good.Good luck to you.

You could have major problems if it gets loose and falls off and somebody behind you runs into it.
