Meal on the XL
DMW
Posts: 13,836
One of my favorite things about my XL, I can cook an entire meal on it. Cooking for 6 tonight, my sister-in-law is visiting from Spain for a few days.
2 pork tenderloins meat glued together and coated with Mickey's Coffee Rub. I really need to get better at gluing out to the edges.

Egg was going at 375*-400* with some potatoes and spaghetti squash indirect. Added the PTL raised direct.
Potatoes and squash finished, switched to all direct and added asparagus.

Slightly overcooked the pork...

On the table:

I really like it when I'm not traveling, won't be so fortunate next week...

How long does it take for the potatoes to cook?
-
@Roadpuke0 - As others mentioned, HD or Lowe's probably has them. I saw them on here one time and needed instant gratification so I ordered them from here:

@SmokinBass - Just like baking potatoes in the oven, about an hour give or take. You want them to probe tender, around 200*-210* IT. An overcooked potato is no problem, undercooked, not so nice.

Nice cook @DMW. So you did the squash whole? I like adding butter and brown sugar.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.
-
@Ladeback69 - Yep, did it whole, then cut it up, scooped and the seeds. Pulled the flesh out with a fork, and that's it. I didn't even add butter and it was really good.Ladeback69 said:Nice cook @DMW. So you did the squash whole? I like adding butter and brown sugar.They/Them

Great looking meal. The XL has a lot of versatility. I need to try the spaghetti squash sometime.

Damn fine looking meal @DMW . Even if the pork was slightly overcooked in your eyes it looks great from here. Nicely Done!!!I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.
