The Chickens Are In New Orleans

Yes, we're in NOLA's stomping grounds, and have been since last Wednesday.  And yes, we've had Egg'd food during that period.  And yes, we're anxious to return home to the Chicken Ranch to see what damage the weather has done to the Coop in our absence.  We leave first thing in the morning.  And if Houston is not under water, we should make it.

Meanwhile, we found ourselves accompanying my Sweetie's sister and hubby to the area off St. Charles Avenue to return some wedding stuff.  Nephew # 1, aka Dart Vader, got married.  Fine wedding and reception too.  They're presently steaming toward some island and playing like they are newly weds.

It was lunch time so we started looking for a place to eat and happened on Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar on St. Charles.  Looked clean enough and there was no mention of a 'minimal dress code' so in we went.  It was good.  If you're ever there, be sure to try the Crawfish Cornbread to start things off.  Kinda pricy, but it was a worthy occasion.  BIL picket up the tab.  I think it was a reward for introducing him to the Egg.  But here's the link to the place:  http://www.superiorseafoodnola.com/dinner-menu.html

Sorry NOLA, we didn't know how to get in touch with you to see if you could join us.  Maybe next time.
