Barbecue Magazine

Hi folks,
I am on the hunt for a barbecue magazine with regular issues which I can subscribe to.
I haven't been able to find one yet.
I'd be keen to hear your recommendations.
Many thanks

This forum is like an interactive magazine, and welcome here.

You will find it addictive.  People are really helpful, and you'll get great ideas.

The best online experience I've ever had anyway.

I agree with @blasting. The best thing about this "magazine" is that you have all the issues available and you can search by topic.  Want to know more about cooking a butt?  There are lots of threads.  If you can't find it here,  learn about it and write a post.  People will appreciate it.

No help here, just wanted to say, welcome! Are you from New Zealand or do you just like the fruit? :)

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

You can try to check out StoryQue. Not traditional magazine, but monthly issues delivered to iphone. I used it for a little while, stopped because I used forums more.

There used to be BBQ America, but I think it went out of business.  I found this online.

Welcome to the forum @kiwigriller ! I agree with the thoughts above, while this forum may not come with a glossy cover it contains more information than any BBQ magazine ever could. Do a google search with whatever information you're looking for and "BGE forum" and watch the results pour in.

On a side note, I lived in Wanaka for a year. If New Zealand wasn't on the complete opposite side of the world from all of my family I would have stayed. It's one beautiful country you've got down there.

BGE publishes one, thou it is normally included in new egg purchases I have seem it at my local dealer. Maybe you could call the Mothership and inquire how often they publish it and if they can send you a copy. It's actually pretty darn good.

  • Thank you all for a warm welcome and the links.
I indeed live in New Zealand - by the beach in Mount Maunganui.
I have been utilising all of the very helpful information here for a couple of years. It has been a wealth of knowledge since I got my Green Egg.
We have our inaugural BBQ Championships here in a months time. Very exciting indeed!
Unfortunately most New Zealanders cook with gas. The good word is spreading though ;-)

I think it's just amazing that we can connect with people as far away as it is possible to be! I live in Connecticut, USA, and have seen posts (on this and other forums) from folks in Mexico, Austria, South Africa, Italy, Australia, Ireland, England, Thailand and now, New Zealand! The kicker is, we are all interested in the same stuff! The world is a small place!

I think if you did subscribe to a BBQ magazine you would probably find at least 50% of it to be duplicative of what you fine here or online and what would you read the next day?

oh, and lots and lots of ads
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Big green egg lifestyle.  My dealer has them for free

  • Thank you all.
The reason I am after a print magazine is so I can put in my public space at work so the word can be spread. I will seek out the BGE one.
    Thanks again.
