Make sure you video and take pictures of "The first Lighting of the Egg". Try to cook up some simple stuff (spatchcock chicken/burgers etc.) for the first couple of cooks. Give a chance for the gasket to settle down, so no high temp cooks for a little while (above 500 degrees). Sure someone will come in and say you can replace it with a high temp gasket like Rutland or Nomex, and some will even go gasketless .. Burping will save hair and eyebrows ! I got wrapped up in golf playoff last night after getting lump started with vents open and got really hot very fast !
